The Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) Project aims to improve poor children's overall development and readiness for further education within a sustainable quality ECED system. The Project for Managing Higher Education for Relevance and Efficiency seeks to create an enabling environment for the evolution of autonomous, and accountable public higher education institutions (HEIs), and to develop effective support mechanisms for the improvement of the quality, relevance, efficiency, and equity of higher education.
The main components of the project are as follows:
COMPONENT 1: STRENGTHENING FARMER-DRIVEN EXTENSIONThis is the core component of FEATI and will include the following sub-components: (i) Policy-support for implementation of the new Extension Law (ii) Farmer-Managed Activities (FMA) Grants (village, district, province) (iii)
Overall Goal: The provincial BPBDs as well as the regency/municipality BPBDs beside the pilot areas will be established and their disaster management capacities will be enhanced using the same method as in the Project.

The purpose of the Project is to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders for regional development in Sulawesi and to establish the mechanisms of collaboration among stakeholders. The stakeholders include: policy makers (bupati, head of BAPPEDA and SKPD, DPRD), planning officers (BAPPEDA and SKPD), and community facilitators (community people, NGO staff, extension workers).
The project will focus on four priority areas: (i) manufacturing; (ii) agro-business (iii) infrastructure and (iv) energy and mining.
