Deskripsi Project: 

PRIORITAS is a five year USAID-funded project designed to improve access to quality education for children in Indonesia. USAID PRIORITAS is part of a cooperative agreement between the Governments of the United States of America and the Republic of Indonesia. The project will work closely with national and local partners to:
1. Improve the quality and relevance of teaching and learning in schools.
2. Develop better management and governance in schools and districts.
3. Support better coordination within and between schools, teacher training institutions and government at all levels.

SCOPE
USAID PRIORITAS will work across 60 partner districts in Aceh, North Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java and South Sulawesi. In 2014 it will to expand to Papua and two more provinces to be agreed.

PARTNERS
USAID PRIORITAS will work with:
1. 18 Teacher Training Institutions to improve their capacity to deliver quality pre- and in-service training programs.
2. Over 1,400 primary and junior secondary schools and madrasah in the 60 partner districts to improve the quality of education in reaching 200,000 teachers and over 300,000 students.
3. 100 additional districts, including 50 Districts previously involved in the USAID-funded DBE project, to support the dissemination of good practices reaching an anticipated further 4,000 Schools, 30,000 teachers and 825,000 students.
