Calling for innovative Expressions of Interest for grant funding
“MAMPU Program Innovation Fund”
The Empowering Indonesian Women for Poverty Reduction, (Maju Perempuan Indonesia untuk Penanggulangan Kemiskinan) or MAMPU, is an Australian aid program funded by the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of Indonesia. The eight-year Program (2012-2020) is currently in its initial four year phase is designed to improve the lives of poor women in Indonesia.
MAMPU is issuing this request for Expressions of Interest with a view to shortlisting experienced individuals or organisations to design and implement innovative activities, services or products that improve the status of poor women in Indonesia. Ideas that are new, exciting and embrace newly emerging forms of media, or solve an existing problem in women’s empowerment in an original, creative or inventive way will be highly regarded.
Potential categories for your idea are the following:
- Using emerging or green technology
- Utilizing social media
- Finding ways to expand existing community links to remote or under-served communities
- UU Desa
- Activities to encourage increased dialogue between government executive stakeholders, legislative (DPRD) representatives, and civil society
While there are no defined locations in this round, we particularly welcome receiving proposals that cover the following locations:
- Kalimantan
- Papua
- Maluku
- NTT
Individuals, NGOs, academic and research institutions, private companies and entities working on women’s issues in Indonesia at the community, national or regional level are eligible to apply (current MAMPU partners excluded).

Please send your completed proposal to procurement@mampu.or.id. The closing date for all Expression of Interests is no later than 2 pm WIB, Monday June 30th, 2014.
