Terrestrial Program Director (TPD) The Terrestrial Program Director is a senior level position that has strong technical and management responsibility for the CI Indonesia portfolio on conservation and development program encompassing biodiversity, forestry, climate change and green economic development. The Director leads science based strategic planning and program development, policy engagement with government counterparts, as well as program implementation of policy objectives and partnerships. The Director plays and oversees national policy works related to climate change mitigation and adaptation in forest/biodiversity conservation management and also CI’s terrestrial program strategies such as the sustainable landscape partnership program (SLP).
Marine Program Director (MPD) The Marine Program Director is a senior level position that has a strong technical, policies and management responsibility of CI Indonesia’s marine program portfolio. The director leads science based strategic marine program development and innovative policies required to promote sustainable marine resource (including fisheries and aquacultures) management that strongly supports marine based economy. S/he is required to be taking a key role at national level to strategically amplify the lessons learned from the marine field programs for improved national policies on marine management and also strongly supports the smooth implementation of the programs. The director also leads the CII’s fundraising effort to support marine biodiversity conservation in Indonesia and ensuring a good partnership with partners and other institutions.
Key Responsibilities: § Project Development and Implementation § Fundraising, strategic planning, partnerships, liaison with other agencies and partners § Leadership in the administration of similar complex international programs with skills in strategic planning, management, supervision and budgeting. § Proven experience in field program management in Indonesia
Key Job Requirements: Educations, Experience and Skills: § Min. Master Degree in a relevant scientific discipline and experience with analysis of climate change scenarios and related climate change impacts on human communities and tropical ecosystems with at least 10 years’ experience. (TPD) § Exp. in conducting and supervising land use research and related modelling scenarios in tropical countries, analysing data and publishing results.(TPD) § Extensive networking experience with central, provincial, government agencies, alliance building with donor partners and other INGOs, institutions and other partner networking. (TPD & MPD). § Ability to write reports including proposal writing (TPD & MPD) § Min. Master Degree on marine science/biologist/ecologist/natural resource management or other relevant skills with min. 5 years’ exp. in marine science in Indonesia, either in marine/coastal resources management programs. (MPD) § Method on Strategic Planning and also marine biodiversity monitoring protocols (MPD)
