SAHABAT CIPTA (SC) is an Indonesian organization founded in 2007 by professionals in development with a vision of reduced poverty in Indonesia. Its mission is to empower communities with new skills and opportunities so they become self-reliant. SC focuses on provision of project management, strategic advice and training in the field of local economic development, community livelihood improvement, value chain development, small business development, rural skills development, microfinance, and environmental management. Since its start, SC has developed and implemented more than 25 projects for international and Indonesian donors and companies, and positioned itself in the field of sustainable social investment and development. SC adopts market development approach in promoting pro-poor growth that will lead to reduced poverty.

 

SC is currently implementing Ford Foundation’s project called Support Cocoa Farmers Access to Finance and Market (SCFAFM) project in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The project aims to enhance livelihood of cocoa farmers in the selected areas in Ende and Nagakeo districts. In terms of financial assets, it is expected that at least 3,000 direct beneficiaries can increase their net income of cocoa production, by at least 20% over two years (at constant prices). In terms of social assets it is expected that the improved collaboration through farmer organization in cooperatives will contribute to additional improvements in the livelihood of the farmers, such as access to finance through loan and saving activities, improved business skills through joint marketing and improved collaboration among the farmers.

 

SCFAFM project is currently seeking 1 (one) Project Coordinator to be located in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.

1.       Male/female applicants are welcome to apply

2.       Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

3.       At least 3 (three) years of working experience in the same or similar field

4.       Having experience of leading 2 (two) subordinates

5.       Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

6.       Good leadership skills

7.       Ability to make reports

8.       Experienced to work in a remote area

9.       Willing to be assigned in Flores

10.   Having work experience in agriculture or cacao will be prioritized

11.   Local applicants from Flores will be more considered

12.   Understand English (passive)

The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager of SCFAFM project in all matters. He/she will execute this assignment based on term of reference, including operation procedures, templates, and deadlines. The Project Coordinator will work independently with minim input and supervision.
